After 7 years in Second Life, Asri Falcone Originals gave birth to {TORN}, chic casual wear that specializes in mesh clothing and accessories for all body types.
Being part of the first mesh Fashion Week ever in SL, also organized by AVENUE, {TORN}’s creations have been always present in the chic closets of the modern, city women.
This spring, trends have been amazing in diversity; sometimes pastels are featured; other times, strong and bold colors are IT. And this is the case.

A Fashion Week is, by definition, a number of days showcasing designers that fashionistas don’t want to miss.
We all know that in RL, fashion shows are much faster than in SL. A complete designer’s showcase takes from 12 to 20 minutes max.
We are extremely proud at AVENUE for also doing this in SL. Our designer’s showcases are quite fast, considering SL limitations. Each showcase lasts from 25 to 45 minutes max.
Again, AVENUE is writing a new chapter in SL Fashion’s history, by doing this Fashion Week as close to RL as possible.
The last showcase of the week will feature several SL haute couture designers.
One of these brands is Elysium.
We all know Aleida Rhode and the work she has been creating for years. And we do know Luca Boucher, as well.
This dynamic duo released Elysium: a haute couture brand for men and women – including skins, hair and accessories.
They both clearly state that Elysium creates their own mesh in Blender or combining Blender with other 3D software – which means, completely original work, created from the very start by Aleida and Luca. A must see, of course!

Mila Tatham is a provocative designer. In all the best meanings of the word “provocative”.
I remember her store when she started creating in SL. A little store with amazing acessories, true art pieces.
I usualy define success not as fifteen minutes of fame, but a steady and long career, always improving. This pretty much defines *SoliDea FoliEs*. Fashion – especially high end fashion – must be unexpected, something that will make us stop in awe.
Of course Mila Tatham’s brand had to be showcased at AVENUE Fashion Week!

Here is just asneak peek of Spring/Summer Collection of one of the designers I’ve been following for quite some time.
Zib Scaggs created her brand Zibska and I love how I never know what to expect; what will she create next? Zib talks about her creations as if she’s talking about art. And she is!
“With this collection I have done something which I usually avoid and that is casual wear. It is a challenge for me to keep things toned down (everything needs ruffles! spikes! feathers! or all of the above!). In the end, what I have managed to put together in the collection are designs that Zib would wear when she does not care about poking others in the eye and some tamed down ones, for when she does.”
And here is one of the designs you can see from Zibska during AVENUE Fashion Week.
A challenge for her – to create casual wear – in this case a short cocktail dress with hat included. The eyeshadow and cuff I’m wearing are also from Zibska and already available at her mainstore.

SHIKI launched its first design in spring of 2008 with a small collection of men’s casual wear. In 2009, the women’s line was launched.
Since the launch of the label, SHIKI has become known for its unique and distinctively urban designs with high-quality, hand-drawn details. SHIKI continues to push the envelope in SL fashion.
Shinichi Mathy, owner and creator of SHIKI, was born in Tokyo, Japan. He relocated to Hawaii and lived there for 20 years. He currently resides in Tokyo.
