AVENUE Fashion Week 2013 – House of {TORN}

{TORN} is no longer an unknown brand.
On the contrary.
After 7 years in Second Life, Asri Falcone Originals gave birth to {TORN}, chic casual wear that specializes in mesh clothing and accessories for all body types.

Being part of the first mesh Fashion Week ever in SL, also organized by AVENUE, {TORN}’s creations have been always present in the chic closets of the modern, city women.

This spring, trends have been amazing in diversity; sometimes pastels are featured; other times, strong and bold colors are IT. And this is the case.

Some designers we are familiar with.
Others are bringing their art to SL recently and AVENUE Fashion Week will showcase Ariskea.

I’m absolutely curious to see Ariskea’s creations!
Diaxm says in her SL profile “My specialization is my path to create and make a different world visual for every person that loves art.”

“This collection has been inspired by pastel fashion, which is the trends of the years 2013 2014. It has also been designed exclusively for AVENUE Fashion Show . I hope you will enjoy the products as much as i draw them.”

AVENUE Fashion Week 2013 – Zibska .sneak peek.

Here is just asneak peek of Spring/Summer Collection of one of the designers I’ve been following for quite some time.

Zib Scaggs created her brand Zibska and I love how I never know what to expect; what will she create next? Zib talks about her creations as if she’s talking about art. And she is!

“With this collection I have done something which I usually avoid and that is casual wear. It is a challenge for me to keep things toned down (everything needs ruffles! spikes! feathers! or all of the above!). In the end, what I have managed to put together in the collection are designs that Zib would wear when she does not care about poking others in the eye and some tamed down ones, for when she does.”

And here is one of the designs you can see from Zibska during AVENUE Fashion Week.
A challenge for her – to create casual wear – in this case a short cocktail dress with hat included. The eyeshadow and cuff I’m wearing are also from Zibska and already available at her mainstore.

AVENUE Fashion Week 2013 – SHIKI .sneak peek.

SHIKI launched its first design in spring of 2008 with a small collection of men’s casual wear. In 2009, the women’s line was launched.

Since the launch of the label, SHIKI has become known for its unique and distinctively urban designs with high-quality, hand-drawn details. SHIKI continues to push the envelope in SL fashion.

Shinichi Mathy, owner and creator of SHIKI, was born in Tokyo, Japan. He relocated to Hawaii and lived there for 20 years. He currently resides in Tokyo.

The new trend for Spring/Summer 2013.
Romantic tendencies, very etherial looks.
Edgy new romantic for the upcoming season.

I was mesmerized when I saw Vivienne Westwood’s new collection.
Very hard to portray, as a vision of art, creation and very high end and sophisticated, in terms of fashion. There’s a sense of subtle decadence in this neo romantic style that is extremely sweet and tender.

“Strange” as in good.
The more I get to know SL creators, the more inspired I get.
I believe you all have seen miss Zib Scaggs designs and her brand Zibska.
She is now preparing her spring collection, to be released soon. Zib works non stop, there is always something new in her store, every week. Amazing makeup, acessories and her hair is outstanding for high end models.

If you have a light toned skin, her Anya lips fatpack is exquisite, created to desaturate stronger makeups, especially if you are exploring photography as I am.
For a more dramatic effect on your eyes, you have Tabea eyeliner; it comes in several intense colors.
Valle eyebrows include a super cute effect;

My inspiration for this look was the gorgeous Athala collar. A must have!

I don’t think Zib is going after “easy”, she is going after art and that was always so appealing to me, from the moment I first set my eyes on her creations.
They always brings up my creative side and it will bring out yours, too.
